From BFFs to Frenemies: Mylee Staicey Spills the Tea on Her Fallout with Dorea Chege
Stacy Ndaise aka "Mylee Staicey" |
What happens when the ultimate friendship goals go up in smoke? Digital creator Mylee Staicey is finally revealing the juicy details behind her fallout with fellow influencer Dorea Chege—and it’s not what fans expected.
The End of an Era: BFFs No More
Mylee, whose real name is Stacy Ndaise, was once inseparable from Dorea. The two were practically glued at the hip, creating content, sharing laughs, and turning heads wherever they went. But eagle-eyed fans noticed something was off—the pair had stopped hanging out and sharing their iconic joint posts.
In an interview with Oga Obinna, Mylee addressed the whispers:
“Tulikosana... We were best friends. Tulikuwa tunashinda pamoja (We had a fallout… We were best friends. We used to spend a lot of time together).”
According to her, the rift wasn’t dramatic—it was just life pulling them in different directions.
Friendship or Fakeness?
While Mylee admits they were close, she hinted that the friendship lacked balance.
“Inafika point you get to learn you are someone’s friend, but she is not your friend,” Mylee confessed, adding, “Nirealise hakuwa ameniweka mahali nilikuwa nimemueka (I realised she hadn’t placed me in the same position I placed her).”
Could this mean Dorea was never as invested in their friendship as Mylee thought? Fans are left speculating about what really went on behind the scenes.
The Ambition Factor
Mylee also opened up about how her ambitions might have strained the relationship.
“There’s this place I wanted to get to, and sometimes hakuwa anaelewa (she didn’t always understand),” she shared.
It seems like their goals and priorities simply didn’t align, causing the cracks in their friendship to grow deeper.
A Shared Past with a Twist
Adding fuel to the fire is the pair’s complicated history. Not only did they share a close friendship, but they also dated the same man—singer Weezdom. Talk about awkward!
Despite this, Mylee and Dorea managed to stay friends for years, even teaming up in 2022 to enter the political scene. Though both failed in their respective bids, their shared experiences strengthened their bond—until now.
Can the Friendship Be Saved?
While Mylee acknowledges the fallout, she hasn’t ruled out a reunion.
“I feel like in life, at times you need space kidogo to just get to have a better friendship, if we’ll ever be friends again,” she said.
Mylee is hopeful that time apart could allow them to rebuild their bond with a stronger foundation of mutual respect and understanding.
Fans React: Support or Sides?
Fans are divided over the fallout. Some have expressed sympathy for Mylee, applauding her honesty, while others hope the two influencers can patch things up. Many agree on one thing, though—respect and balance are essential in any friendship.
For now, both Mylee and Dorea are focused on their individual journeys, leaving fans wondering if this once-iconic duo will ever rekindle their friendship.
