Cursed by Death? Nyaboke Moraa Dumped After a Tragic Year of Loss
Nyaboke Moraa
Former Tahidi High actress and content creator Nyaboke Moraa has had a devastating 2024, enduring heartbreak after a string of personal tragedies.
Now, in a shocking revelation, she shares how her boyfriend walked out on her, convinced by his friends that she was "followed by death."
Dumped Over Too Much Grief
Nyaboke confessed that she was planning a future with her partner, only to be abandoned during one of the darkest periods of her life.
“When I imagine there’s a man I was planning a life with, then he ran away because I was losing so many people—it’s unbelievable,” she said. “His friends told him to avoid me. I was shocked.”
Despite the betrayal, Nyaboke is keeping her spirits up. “Anyway, I have a wedding in August. Who wants to be on the list so I don’t forget them?” she added, throwing in a touch of humor to mask the pain.
A Year Marked by Loss
Nyaboke's heartbreak is compounded by the devastating series of losses she’s faced in recent years. In 2024 alone, she lost her firstborn daughter Marie, her eldest brother, her niece, and most recently, her beloved father.
Her daughter Marie passed away on July 28, a tragedy first announced by fellow actress Sandra Dacha.
“It is with profound sadness that I announce to you the passing of @nyabokemoraa’s daughter. Your prayers are what she needs right now,” wrote Sandra in a heartfelt social media post.
Three months after losing Marie, Nyaboke’s father passed away on October 28. She shared the news with a heavy heart, recounting his final words to her: “Nyargot baby, I love you and God loves you so much, tulia tu, mama.”
“My dad was my solid rock, the one who loved me unconditionally. Losing him has shattered me,” she wrote.
Death Seems to Follow
Nyaboke’s tragic journey began years ago when she lost her ex-partner and the father of her two sons, legendary rugby coach Benjamin Ayimba, in 2021. Ayimba passed away at the age of 44 from cerebral malaria.
Since then, death has loomed large in her life. In 2023, she lost her niece, and in 2024, her brother passed away suddenly, just weeks before their family reunion.
“One minute we’re happy, and the next, we’re lost,” Nyaboke wrote about her brother’s passing. “The Nyariki family has been struck yet again. Hii mwaka nayo imeamua kupumzika.”
Finding Strength Amid Tragedy
Despite the overwhelming grief, Nyaboke continues to share her story to inspire others facing similar struggles.

“Yes, I’m in unbearable pain, but I’m holding on. It’s been a tough year, but I have to believe there’s light at the end of this dark tunnel,” she wrote.
Fans React
Nyaboke’s candid revelations have drawn mixed reactions. While many have praised her strength and resilience, others have expressed shock at her ex’s decision to abandon her.
“Death isn’t contagious!” one fan commented, calling out the stigma surrounding grief. Another added, “You’re a warrior, Nyaboke. Keep fighting.”
For Nyaboke, sharing her story is a way to heal, one post at a time.
